A RURAL SEND-OFF

A proposal for a ceiling installation for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture graduation dinner. The installation is comprised of thin wooden members that suspend a small field of wheat bundles in between, dangling in the wind. The wooden framing system is reinforced with a series of cables, while the entire piece is suspended above the main entry space.
