In this module, students visit existing staircases on campus, field measure and document them, and reproduce an accurately scaled three-dimensional model with dimensions. The stair is to be drawn to scale in a related series of orthographic drawings, which are eventually used to construct the detailed three-dimensional model. Every detail of the stair, down to the smallest bolt, must be drawn and modeled.
